I was lucky enough recently to travel to Prince Edward Island, a place that I love that is incredibly special to me. While I was there, I had the distinct pleasure to participate in a wonderful styled shoot with some fabulous wedding vendors. I hope you enjoy what we all made together!
In the height of summer in Prince Edward Island, Islanders and visitors alike flock to the historic fishing village of Victoria-by-the-Sea for the stunning vistas, charming shops, and rolling hills in vibrant green. Built in 1877, The Grand Victorian, a beautifully restored Gothic Revival masterpiece, provides the vintage elegance inspiration for this styled shoot. For a wedding befitting a Victorian-era heroine, the grandeur of the venue finds its match in the simplicity of natural elements and heirloom pieces.
The brides look stunning in vintage dresses hand-selected by Katharine MacDonald of Of The Island. Kristina Fisher of KLF Weddings dressed the beautiful harvest table with vintage milk glass vases and medicine bottles styled with local wildflowers from Isobel’s Flower Farm. The understated bouquets suggest an evening stroll through fields in late summer. In the words of beloved author L.M. Montgomery, "There is so much in the world for us all if we only have the eyes to see it, and the heart to love it".
